What was I thinking?

I had a brilliant idea to start a 21-day clean eating detox program, but I didn’t plan this detox program properly. I am trying to improve my own intake of food. I don’t believe in diets simply because I want to change my lifestyle for the better. I don’t want short-term goals, or short terms improvement while I still lack the proper nutrition of eating right. So I don’t diet, but I am trying to increase my intake of veggies and fruits. I already cut out sugar and salt. I don’t drink juice, or soda minus my occasional ginger al, but I do drink water, tea, and almond milk.
March 17, 2014 was supposed to be the start of my 21-day detox program. I was motivated, but failure was in my in favor. I didn’t go grocery shopping so already I am going to slip up, because without the proper food I was already destine to fail. So day one starts fine I woke up, cooked my shrimp with wheat pasta for lunch and dinner because I had a full day of school. I made a hard boil egg for breakfast, had orange for snack and a peanut butter, jelly sandwich for after the gym. Here is the failure waiting to happen as I get home from school at 10pm I was not hungry, I was ready to have my tea and crackers, but that didn’t happen.
So here is how my plan day went straight down the drain… So I was joking said what your cooking for dinner, he said, “I am not cooking dinner” so not paying attention I heated my water for tea. Fast-forward 30 minutes later while he was now hungry and so I ask again what do you want to eat he said I-hop so quickly a phone call is being made. Now at this very moment I should I have said I am not hungry, but instead I tag along with the order for chicken fingers with fries. So we all know I am not perfect. But HOW DO I FAIL ON THE FIRST NIGHT? Well as I said before I didn’t plan this program right I quickly decided Sunday night to detox, without making the right plan to make this program successful.
So I am not a quitter, but simply I needed to plan this program better to get the results I am looking for. So while I fail on the first night I am not quitting my program to get better with my detox. I started this detox to change my eating habits because even though I don’t eat junk food I have the tendency to eat out more on Friday and Saturday and while I don’t eat fast food. I’m still not eating healthy. I don’t find it wrong with eating out, but since I am getting ready for my first 5k and building up to my first half-marathon next year. I need to prepare my body; I need to properly provide the right nutrition for my body to get better. I want to be fit and I know the difference between fat and fit is “I” so I have decided to fix my program to become more successful.
With my attempt to fix my detox program, I have decided to officially start April 1. While I know people prepare their meal for a whole week I am at a disadvantage because I can’t eat left over food because it mess up my stomach. So for me I have to create my meals fresh everyday. So I need to prepare a meal plan where I can wake up and cook my meal for the whole day especially when I have classes.
