My Running Chronicles
By: Ms.K
I can’t believe it has been two weeks since my last running. Don’t get me wrong I use to hate running, now I enjoy running outside. The reason for the lack of running was because of our move, and simply being busy editing and fixing my first poetry book “Summer Bliss.”
Now I am refocusing my training for my half marathon. I will be using RunKeeper as my guide plus my trainer will be going hardcore to make sure I accomplish my summer goals.
Today my running started great. I was on the right pace, but the hot sun was against me. I don’t like running in the hot sun. I wanted to run early, but being lazy and procrastinating led to me running later then 7am.
I will attempt to wake up early and start my running right.
Steps to start running:
-Shoes: Sneakers that don’t meet the needs of your foot type and running style can lead to Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis (heel pain), knee pain, and shin splints
– Sport bra: A bra that holds each breast in a separate cup will reduce bounce and support better than a shelf bra.
Keep it up!
Make sure to increase your running gradually.
It’s important to rest your body.
Stay flexible
