World Aids Day

December 1 is World Aids Day. The theme for 2014 is “Focus, Partner, Achieve: An AIDS-free Generation.” It is important that you make sure you practice safe sex, and always get tested.
World Health Organization states that World Aids Day has the “opportunity to harness the power of social change to put people first and close the access gap. Ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030 is possible, but only by closing the gap between people who have access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support services and people who are being left behind. Closing the gap means empowering and enabling all people, everywhere, to access the services they need.
Did you know that in 2013: There were 35 million people living with HIV.
The White House will host an event at noon to recognize the observation of World Aids Day.
