Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015! Last year my cousin (Ms. J on the website) and I created vision boards to outline our goals and aspirations for 2014. It was a fun girls night with homemade pizza and wine. It was our first time creating vision boards and we wanted to have fun but also making sure we outline our clear goals for 2014. It’s that time of year when everyone is going to holiday parties, family functions, and hanging out with their girlfriends. We want to pop and make a statement. Looking your best does not have to be over the top, it just have to be simple while making a statement.
We all want that perfect love story. We want the man who would do anything for us. We want that nursery rhyme ” first comes loves, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in the baby carriage.” We want our lives to fit this perfect puzzle piece. We don’t want the bruises, the verbal insult, the fear, and the tears. The moment when you ask yourself is this LOVE? Can someone love me, but hurt me at the same time. The answer is no!
Love does not hurt, Love does not bleed, Love should not bring fear into your eyes. When a person loves you, they protect you, not hurt you constantly.
October is the annual awareness for breast cancer, but its an everyday task for women to remain healthy and aware of their body. Its never easy being sick and trying to remain healthy, buts its essential. Having breast cancer means fighting everyday for your life. Being healthy is also a constant battle.

Last year I was motivated to workout and get in shape. I found time to workout in my busy schedule was it easy, no. Now after a yr of only going to grad school full-time I am back into the work field. Now I need to find balance between working out, going to school, and working.
I wanted to try something new in my weight loss journey. I didn’t want to do my usual run, weight training, or even HIIT training instead I wanted to go for a swim. I love swimming; I used to swim back in high school.
